How to Fix Pricing
Descriptions of each option:
This rare status tells the user that the price the order was taken at is not what matches the channel's outgoing feed's pricing. There are multiple reasons why this could happen including changing prices before/after a pending order is validated, latency in syncing pricing on a specific channel, etc
How to Fix Pricing
To clear the order you will need to click "Fix Pricing" button top right of the order.
The options to fix the pricing are:
- Use the purchase order price
- Use the published price
- Use a custom price
- Cancel the line
Descriptions of each option:
1. Choosing the purchase order price will push through the order as shown in the channel portal. For channels where you offer discounted pricing, accept offers, or run a promotion, you could see the price different than in the feed. We recommend that you check your cost of goods metric to ensure you are still making a profit on the order.
2. Choosing the published price will use the published price that is in the outgoing feed. However, this is not effective in every case. For most channels, after an order is placed, the price cannot be changed or increased to maintain a positive customer experience. Selecting this option incorrectly can lead to incorrect accounting because the price of the order will likely not change. *subject to channel settings
3. Choosing a custom price should be rarely used. Similar to using the published price, it is not always effective as the actual order price will likely not change. If the channel has the ability to update cost and negotiate, you may need to use this option. *subject to channel settings
4. Cancelling the line is an option you can take if you are taking a loss on the order if you push the order through at the purchase order price. You can simply refund the customer their money and then ensure the pricing updates on the channel.
