The following table shows some of the order statuses you may see and their causes. Please see the individual articles pertaining to each action required status by clicking on their links for more information.
| Status | Meaning |
| Validating | The order is being validated by the channel. If you have processed an exchange, this status will hold until the Service Request is closed. |
| Awaiting Pickup | The order has a tracking number assigned and is packed waiting to be picked up by the carrier for shipment. |

Awaiting Shipment
|
The order does not have a tracking number assigned yet. |
| In Transit | The item has been picked up by the carrier and is in transit to the customer. |
| Delivered | The item has been successfully delivered to the address on file in Quipt. |
| Canceled |
The order was canceled before it was shipped out, and the customer was refunded. |
| Action Required Statuses | |
| Message To Merchant | This status typically has one of two causes: The merchant attempted to cancel the order, and the retailer rejected the cancellation request. Or, the merchant tried to update the shipping information, and it failed. |
| Late Shipment | This order has not received a tracking number and is behind its shipment SLA |
| Late Shipment Pickup | The order has a tracking assigned but the carrier has not scanned this item as picked up yet and is behind its shipment SLA |
| Invalid Ship-To | Item has an invalid shipping address, or is missing the customer's phone number or email address. |
| Inventory Out Of Stock | The item is out of stock and it was oversold. |

The price the order was placed for does not match the channel's outgoing feed's price. A user will need to confirm the price the order was taken or cancel the order. |

Message to retailer
|
Similar to the message to merchant, a message to retailer is a message sent between the order channel and Quipt regarding a missed acknowledgement or error of some kind. |

An order might fall into this status when the SKU listed in the order file does not match any SKU built out in Quipt. This can be for a number of reasons: |
