Certain Channels such as HUBX or Wish have values for 'Brand' that are unique and may differ from how the attribute appears in Quipt.
Wish for instance uses alphanumeric codes denoting brand. In these instances, we make use of a tool to re-map 'Brand' as it appears in Quipt, to the specific values that these channels use
We usually only know a brand value needs be remapped after we receive a Quipt > Channel feed rejection containing the error 'This Manufacturer Name does not exist in our system'

Wish
- Go to the Wish Brand Directory
- Search your brand to see if it's in the the brand directory
- If yes it is, copy the alphanumerical code Wish shows next to the brand, so we can map it
- If no, it is not in the directory, click on 'Suggest a brand' on the Wish page, and follow the on-screen steps to add your brand.
- Once you click to submit your brand suggestion, it can take up to 24 hours for Wish to approve it, so make sure to check the Your Suggested Brands page periodically
- Once Wish approves your brand suggestion, copy the alphanumerical code Wish shows next to the brand, so we can map it
- Download Quipt's Wish Manufacturer Mapping XML file from Google Drive, and open it using a text editor
- Scroll to the bottom of the opened file
- Add a new line, containing the Brand Name exactly as it appears in Quipt, and the alphanumeric Wish Brand Value, exactly as it appears in the Wish Brand Directory
- Save your changes, making sure you save the file as a .XML file
- Email the updated file to wishbrands@getquipt.com
- leave the body of the email blank
- title the subject line as ‘Wish Brands Update’
- attach the updated Wish Manufacturer Mapping XML file
- Within 15 minutes the mapped value within Quipt will be updated, and you can re-export any items in your Quipt > Wish feeds that may've been previously rejected due to the brand value not being mapped
-
Lastly, upload the updated Wish Manufacturer Mapping XML file to google drive, to replace the existing file. This is highly important, to ensure the shared file always contains the most recently updated values
HubX
If brand DOES NOT already exist in HUBX:
- We occasionally get a feed rejection for Quipt > HUBX items saying 'This Manufacturer Name does not exist in our system'
- To fix, contact Matthew Schwartz at HUBX (matthews@hubx.com) and ask him to add the missing brand value to HUBX, exactly as it appears in Quipt. Provide him a link to the brand's manufacturer website so he can see it's an active brand
- If Matthew was able to add the missing brand to HUBX using the exact formatting used in Quipt, no further steps are necessary. You can re-export any items in your Quipt > HUBX feeds that may've been previously rejected due to the brand value not being mapped
If brand DOES already exist in HUBX, but with different formatting:
- If Matthew states the brand already exists in HUBX, ask him for the exact formatting so we can re-map it correctly in Quipt
- Download Quipt's HUBX Manufacturer Mapping XML file from Google Drive, and open it using a text editor
- Scroll to the bottom of the opened file
- Add a new line, containing the Brand Name exactly as it appears in Quipt, and the brand exactly as Matthew states HUBX has it formatted
- Save your changes, making sure you save the file as a .XML file
- Email the updated file to hubxbrands@getquipt.com
- leave the body of the email blank
- title the subject line as ‘HUBX Brands Update’
- attach the updated HUBX Manufacturer Mapping XML file
- Within 15 minutes the mapped value within Quipt will be updated, and you can re-export any items in your Quipt > HUBX feeds that may've been previously rejected due to the brand value not being mapped
- Lastly, upload the updated HUBX Manufacturer Mapping XML file to google drive, to replace the existing file. This is highly important, to ensure the shared file always contains the most recently updated values
