You don't have to integrate inventory, but it is best practice to do so. The other avenues for getting inventory into Quipt are:

1. Uploading via template file
2. Manually building out in the UI

Some important things to note:

If you have a mechanism in place for allocating inventory quantity, then it is an option to manage inventory via upload or manually through the web app. However, we strongly recommend integrating inventory via API and in addition, adding in an acknowledgement. This is best practice and will allow you to sell the most inventory without over-selling.

You can also use the API in addition to either of the options listed above. Best practice is to use API for quantity and price updates (every 30 minutes?) using your SKU as the data point everything keys off of. The you'd upload the content you can't push via API. Or you can use our web app to add this content.

The attributes for Product Details are category specific and so are not listed here

Make sure you're accurately mapping conditions per business requirements

Focus on mapping as much Offer Details data as possible. This data is the same for all categories and allows listings to be enriched by an internal user or an outsource provider. Following is a list of the attributes you have the ability to map to within the 'Offer Details' section of the inventory files:

SKU	This is the item's SKU.	Required
MPN	The original Manufacturer Part Number of your item (pay attention to Model Number vs MPN) Example of a Model #: 17-J109, 3020 The model number is related to the brand of the product and is normally shorter than the part number (ex: Optiplex 3020, HP 17-J109 Notebook PC) Example of a MPN: JKAA98#ABA The MPN identifies the part as belonging to and originating from that one manufacturer. The MPN is the manufacturers part number, and should not be the merchant’s internal sku number or part number, unless the sku happens to be identical to the MPN.	Recommended
Color	This is the item's generic color	Recommended
UPC	This is the item's UPC. Note: An original UPC cannot be used if the item is not in 'New' condition. To explain this, many sites use an item's UPC to link it to existing listings, regardless of condition. This could potentially lead to a 'Refurbished' item being published as 'New' because it incorrectly had an original UPC associated	Recommended
Cost	This is what the item cost you. This field is used for profitability reporting. If you want to use Quipt to track profitability, then fill in this field with the amount you recovered the item for, per unit. If you do not want to use Quipt for profitability, then you can leave this field at 1 or 0.	Optional
Condition	The condition of your item. Options are: New (unopened, in original packaging) Refurbished (B Grade) Certified Refurbished (A Grade) Scratch And Dent Refurbished (C Grade) New Open Box (a "Like New" condition) Used - Good (Used but in working order) See our Condition Guide for more details on selecting the best condition within Quipt for your items And see our Condition Decoder for more info on how the condition of your item in Quipt translates to each potential channel you can sell on	Required
Serials	Mapping in serial numbers is strongly encouraged for high value items. IMEI is also recommended for mobile phones. You can provide here if you want Quipt to assign to each order or within your ship confirmation if that supports your operations better.	Recommended
Notes	A field to include basic information about your product, whether a title or description. This field is typically used so that a user building out the complex category/attribute data for your item within the UI can better understand what's being built	Recommended
Whats Included	This is the list of items that will be coming in the box when the product is shipped.	Recommended
Packaging	The packaging of the item. Valid options are: Retail Brown or White Box	Recommended
Warranty Provider	This specifies who is providing the warranty: the dealer or the manufacturer, or if there is no warranty, none.	Recommended
Warranty Period	This is the length of the warranty.	Recommended
Warranty Phone Number	This is the phone number to call for all warranty related issues.	Recommended
Warranty Email	This is the email to reach out to for all warranty related issues.	Recommended
Shipping Dimensions	These are the shipping dimensions of the item, in inches. Highly recommended if using Quipt to generate your shipping labels	Recommended
Shipping Weight	This is the shipping weight of the item, in pounds. Highly recommended if using Quipt to generate your shipping labels	Recommended
Lead Time	This is how much lead time you require to ship your orders. Options are: Less than 24 hours 24 to 48 hours More than 48 hours	Recommended
Drop Ship	Will the item be drop shipped or no?	Recommended
Shipping Locations	These are the locations you are shipping from.	Recommended
Quantity	This is the amount of an item you plan on selling, or have on hand.	Required
