This feature allows a user to decide whether they want tracking information and ship confirmations to be sent immediately after a shipping label has been generated or have the information sent to the channel when the shipping carrier scans the package as "In-Transit".
This setting is administered on a partner by partner basis. To update this setting, navigate to the desired partner setting for each channel you'd like to change.
Note: not all channels have support for the ship confirmation timing.
Current support for Amazon, eBay, Wish, BackMarket, Groupon, and UntilGone.
Click on Edit < Settings and locate the "Send ship confirmations" option.
Three options in the dropdown:
"When tracking shows movement." - This is the standard setting that send ship confirmations when the carrier marks it as "In-Transit".
"When tracking is assigned." - This sends tracking information when the shipping label and information is generated and assigned to the order.
"Never" - This is enabled for Amazon ONLY and should be used if you do not want Quipt to send your tracking details (IE- you are buying labels directly on their site or via non-integrated third party).
Warning - some channels do not allow you to edit tracking information after it is assigned to the order. Once the initial tracking information is submitted, it is locked so you are forced to ship the item with the label generated. Is means after tracking is sent to certain channels, there is no way to upgrade the carrier method, service, or tracking information at all. For the channels who do support tracking editing, this is a manual process and Quipt will not override what was originally sent.
BackMarket IMEI handling:
If you sell on BackMarket, you know they require IMEI#s for smartphone orders. Quipt sends IMEI with the ship confirmation.
If you select "When tracking shows movement.", you have until the package is picked up by the carrier to get the IMEI information into Quipt.
If you select "When tracking is assigned.", you have to get the IMEI information for the order into Quipt within 60 minutes of the label being generated. Having Auto-Label Generation settings turned on can cause issues with this setting as you may take an order outside of business hours and the order is already ship confirmed by the time you come in.
