Buffers can be used to avoid overselling inventory and negatively impacting fulfillment rates. There are many ways to implement buffers, but it is important to note that if you sell on multiple channels and do not buffer quantities across all channels, you are at risk of overselling.
Navigate to the partner page and expose the site you wish to buffer.
Note: not all channels have support for buffers.
Current support for Amazon, eBay, Wish, BackMarket, Groupon, and UntilGone.
Click on Edit < Settings and input your buffer within Quantity Buffer field.
Below Automatic Feed Rules, you will find the QTY buffer settings.
Buffers can be administered two ways:
Each= a whole number you want to subtract from your available quantity. Example: if you input 5 and have 10pcs in stock, the site will show 5pcs for sale. When you reach 5pcs in stock the site will no longer show any quantity for the product.
%= a whole number between 1-99 which will be translated into a % subtracted from the total. Example: if you input 50 and have 10pcs in stock, the site will show 5pcs for sale. When you reach 5pcs in stock the site will show 3pcs. Quipt uses conventional rounding of ≥.5 rounding up and <.5 rounding down.
