Channel Sync Guide

If you have decided you want to sell on BackMarket, then here are the basics Quipt will require.

Channel Requirements

• API Credentials - (see below)

Accounts created before April 24th, 2023 will need to create a new API token. The old one associated with the account will expire. 

For your information, here is what sellers need to do:

• Log into your Back Office > Options > Integrations
• Delete your token
• Create a new token
• Add the new one to your custom or third-party integration

Once you create your new token, follow the "Sync To Quipt" steps below.

Launch Requirements

---

No existing store:

1. Create your BackMarket account using this link
2. Email Michelle Napper ([e-mail]) to set-up an introductory call.
3. Once approved, you'll receive full access to complete your account details. Please fill out all information on the Profile, Options, and Payment Information pages.
4. Sign the 'Quality Charter' document (which will be sent to you via email, once you complete Step 2) and send to Michelle Napper ([e-mail])
5. Use "BackMarket Shipping Requirements" to properly set up your shipping settings. 
6. You must launch with 40 SKUs minimum 

Existing store:

1. Whether setting up a new store, or syncing an existing one, login to your Back Office account, and go to 'Options'. 
2. Delete any carriers you don't plan to sync with Quipt, and use "BackMarket Shipping Requirements" to properly set up your shipping settings. 
3. Delete or 0 the qty of any existing listings

Syncing with Quipt:

1. Connect to BackMarket using the SmartSync self service tool
2. Get your API Credentials 
   • Follow this link to get your API Credentials from BackMarket.
3. Our next step is to copy the credentials into your partner settings for the channel within Quipt

   • From you Quipt home screen, click the top right dropdown and select Partner Settings:

     

   • This takes you to your Partner overview screen. From here select the channel you wish to apply the desired action, and open the drawer

   • Click on 'Edit Channel' to open the Policies, Settings, and Credentials section
   • In the next section, hover over 'Credentials' and click on the 'Edit' button that pops up
   • For BackMarket this will show the following field to fill out
4. From Step 2 of the Syncing With Quipt section above:
   • Copy and paste your API Token into the APITOKEN field
5. Ensure that there are no extra spaces before or after any of the text you pasted into Quipt, as this will cause an error
6. Finally, click the 'Save' button to ensure your changes are saved before you exit the drawer
7.  Within the Partners > BackMarket > Policies tab (same area you were in in step 3, different tab), there is a section which relates to the minimum warranty for items on BackMarket. BackMarket requires you to accept a minimum 12 month warranty for any items being sold on their platform. You just need to select 'Yes' in the drop-down for that section, and then hit Save at the bottom of the page before exiting and proceeding to the next step. If you skip this step, your content WILL NOT get pushed to BackMarket successfully. 
   
8. Use the "All On" button to surface your catalog and start transacting.

•  Note: Please route all onboarding questions to your BackMarket Account Manager or Quipt CSM.

Hardware and software publication limitations

Desktops , All-In-One Computers, Gaming Computers, and Laptops will be allowed only if:
Processors compatible with windows-11
SSD storage, storage >= 128GB
Memory >= 8GB

Exception: ChromeBooks still allowed with eMMC storage, memory = 4GB, storage < 128GB (64,32,16). 2-in-1 hybrid PCs still allowed with memory = 4GB

Laptops with a release year prior to 2017 will not be published on Backmarket. Only models from 2017 to 2025 are eligible.
