The partner reference field is typically used to map acitivity to the proper trading partner. The data usually maps within your internal finance, accounting or order processing systems.
Open Partner Settings
Locate and open the vendor or retailer
Click Edit
Hover to the right of settings and click Edit
Fill the Partner Reference text box and click Save
